Bemoans death of the African American artistic and intellectualism.  What would it feel like to be eating the last chocolate ice cream on earth? Would it be like being the only surviving witness to Armageddon?  Or maybe it might feel like waking up as the sole resident of New York City on September 12, 2001?  Phenomenon of political correctness in a media driven public relations society has mostly forced artists, writers, so-called intellectuals, and media types, to write, produce, and opine, mostly only that which is “accepted”.  Artistic and intellectually expression is at levels kim jong il would be proud of.

No W.E.B. Du Bois to flood us with ideas. No Booker T. Washington to challenge an education system that procures more for dropout and into the prison system than it does for graduating into the college system.  No Marcus Garvey to remind us of the importance of Africa or to encourage the fight for Africa’s advancement and development.  No Anna Julia Cooper or Ida B. Wells among us.
